Artist's Comments

This is a drawing that I've been working on for the last week. My sister in law lost her mother to a tragic accident this last summer. This is going to be a special surprise gift for her. I'm happy with the outcome. It's my first drawing of an elderly person so I was really nervous about drawing the wrinkles.

It took me several weeks off and on. I used graphite pencils HB-2B, soft pastels, charcoal, tortillons, a kneaded eraser, and paintbrushes for blending. The size is 9x12

I uploaded the WIPs here [link] in case you're interested
